time ago I wrote an entry about an initiative that had taken place in some Navarra catering establishments and I posted because I found it interesting to chart and strategic level. That post seems to have had enough impact because days later I sent an email from ANEABE (National Association of bottled drinking water) to explain the differences between "natural mineral water" and "tap water." If you are interested we summarize a bit what I had:
"natural mineral water are provided from underground sources, have a constant composition and are protected and the nature of any contamination. It is for this reason, natural mineral waters are healthy and pure at its source.
waters are so unique that few have access to the adjective "natural mineral water" which is awarded by the Administration. Among other conditions are required by law to natural mineral water must be packed, and this is done, as they are in nature, without treatment to alter its chemical composition and microbiological natural. It is not permissible under any circumstances add any substance, so that water does not have preservatives of any kind. Waters are which is always packed at the springs with a very controlled process that protects them from contamination and allows them to be packaged as they are in nature.
However, tap water is mainly a surface and its composition is changing. Needs to be treated chemically and microbiologically for disinfection, as this is the only way to ensure food security.
As you can see, both products are completely different, but they can and should coexist. The natural mineral water is a food product is absolutely unique and natural and tap water is a public service to which every citizen is entitled.
Why I return to discuss this matter? For a few days surfing the net I came across a campaign Tappening (an organization against bottled water) whose Claim said: "Bottled water Causes blindness in puppies (bottled water causes blindness in puppies), and below concluded: "If dog lie bottled water companies, we can too" (If bottled water companies can lie us). In addition, we invite you to discover the truth Tappening page or spread our own lie from startalie.com (once we make up a lie we can share with our friends to generate viral).
blogger Elian Callone Matthias (author of the blog Vision Beta, which is where I found the campaign ) recommended we see the video " The history of bottled water "by Annie Leonard , and stayed in one sentence:" Bottled water is on its way to becoming something ta cool as smoking during pregnancy. " According Callone this is "a phrase that tries to predict how water consumption, especially in developed countries. And the reasons for the claim may accurate as the consumption of bottled water begins to decrease in countries like the U.S., which lists alternatives such as selling reusable bottles.
After all I've seen and read I think both waters can actually live but I also I believe it is necessary to minimize the consumption of bottled water because they actually do not think it makes much sense to drink bottled water in areas where, fortunately, we tap water quality. And in areas where tap water is not good, there are always alternatives such as the purification jars. This will reduce the number of plastic bottles and all that that entails. I do not think the ban Bottled water is the solution, but their consumption should be for specific cases. And you what do you think?
